Dedicated volunteers help residents celebrate 4th of July

On the 4th of July, longtime volunteer and donor David Watson hosted a patriotic breakfast for families living at our Louisville Family Housing Services (LFHS). David and his dedicated group of friends, which includes Volunteers of America Board member Steve Magre, have been devoted to serving breakfast at the LFHS every other Wednesday for the last three and a half years. This 4th of July breakfast marked the third annual celebration organized entirely by David and his team.

The hearty meal was complete with pancakes, biscuits, eggs, sausages, waffles, and muffins. After the breakfast, David and the other volunteers arranged a variety of games and crafts for the kids to enjoy. Thank you to David and his breakfast team for their compassion and commitment over the past several years to the families that we serve!
