Volunteers of America of Kentucky, Inc. has a new name

Volunteers of America of Kentucky began operations in 1896 in Louisville, KY. Recognizing needs beyond Kentucky and holding true to founders Maud and Ballington Booth’s commitment “to go wherever we are needed, and do whatever comes to hand,” our organization expanded into Tennessee in 1951, into Southern Indiana in 1998, into West Virginia in 2004, and into Southern Ohio in 2013.

With this increased footprint, Volunteers of America of Kentucky has carefully considered changing our organization’s name to a title that better defines us as a regional, multi-state organization. At last, we have chosen a new name: Volunteers of America Mid-States, Inc.

Volunteers of America Mid-States will continue to provide the same services and will continue to meet and exceed the highest quality standards for our clients. Our email addresses and website URL have changed, although our old email addresses and domain will remain intact for a short period of time as we transition. You can now reach us at email addresses containing @voamid.org, our website: www.voamid.org, and on Facebook: www.facebook.com/voamid. We encourage you to make these changes now while they are top of mind and join us in celebrating a name more fitting of who we have grown to be.
