Casa Grace Senior Housing Community receives highest rating on annual review

With affordable housing options for seniors at an all-time low, Volunteers of America Mid-States is proud to offer safe, low-cost housing options for seniors in Kentucky and Tennessee. We know that our senior housing communities provide a comfortable, stable living environment for residents, and we are thrilled to see the dedicated team at Casa Grace Senior Housing Community in Memphis, TN recognized for commitment to serving their residents.

In August, Casa Grace received a Superior rating on their annual Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Management and Occupancy review. The in-depth review takes many factors into consideration, including security, resident relations, management practices and energy conservation.

"A Superior rating assures our residents that HUD finds that the property manager and the management company – Volunteers of America – is operating a housing community far above their expectations," said Mary Sikes, Volunteers of America's Director of HUD Housing. "Our HUD reviewer is very experienced and shared that this is the first Superior she has ever given."

Though the Superior rating reassured residents that live in high-quality senior housing community, the recognition was not a surprise to the people who call Casa Grace home.

"I was so happy to hear that Casa Grace received a Superior rating on their review. Casa Grace is a wonderful place to live and they deserved this score. I have lived here for two years and I don't ever plan on leaving," said resident Mary Jones (pictured at right). "The staff truly care for us and are always there to make us happy and keep the property looking great."

In addition to the staff's dedicated efforts, support from volunteers and community organizations helps Casa Grace keep the property in great shape, provide the best quality services for residents and host fun activities, including holiday parties, cook-outs on the back patio and even line dancing.
