Support our veterans by donating items, participating in Stand Downs
Each fall, Volunteers of America Mid-States' Veterans Services take part in Stand Down events across our service area to help veterans access resources and remove barriers that contribute to homelessness. Services provided at these Stand Downs include connecting veterans to medical care, meals, clothing and community resources that can help rebuild their lives and work towards self-sufficiency. Additionally, some Stand Downs will host job fairs with area employers, including mock interviews and "Dress for Success" workshops.
