Community Partner Spotlight: UPS supports Volunteers of America through corporate giving, volunteer hours, board involvement
UPS has been a dedicated community partner to Volunteers of America for more than five years as a member of our corporate giving circle, the Power of 1 Community, and as a regular participant in our volunteer activities. UPS also helps the families we serve through financial support, volunteer projects and has been represented by UPS Project Manager Mark Mitchen on our board of directors for the past three years.
We are grateful to Mitchen for his service as a board member and to UPS for regularly giving back to our organization. Additionally, we want to extend our gratitude to the hard-working group of UPS volunteers who have joined us as part of Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer's annual Week of Service. UPS volunteers have helped us with painting and landscaping at two of our campuses – at our 2500 West Broadway location, where we serve veterans in need of housing and employment, and at our Shelby Street Clinical Campus, where we support individuals working to overcome addiction.
Thank you, UPS, for all you do to support the veterans, families and children we serve in the Louisville area. To learn more about our Power of 1 Community giving circle, visit www.voamid.org/po1community.
