VOA Today: Appreciation & Hero Pay
VOA appreciates the bravery and dedication our VOA family has shown during these unprecedented times. VOA’s hero pay is one way to thank you for your commitment to our mission of changing lives.
Here is a reminder of the details of VOA Hero Pay:
If you come in contact with another employee who has tested positive for COVID-19, you will receive payment of an additional $1.50 per hour for 21 days of work. If you come in contact with a client who has tested positive, you will receive payment of an additional $3.00 per hour for 21 days of work.
If there is a presumptive positive for any client, employees who have been exposed will be paid for any time worked between the notification of potential exposure and the time of the result. If positive, employees will receive an additional $3.00 per hour up to 21 days; if negative, employees will receive the rate from the time of the presumptive positive until the negative test results.
An appreciation bonus of $100 was awarded in April to all residential staff and those who elected to work in a residential role. Another appreciation bonus will be awarded to residential staff in the May 29th paycheck.
Thank you to everyone on the front lines continuing our work and helping those who need it most. If you have any questions about Hero Pay, reach out to Teresa Roberts at TeresaR@voamid.org or any member of our HR Team. They will be happy to answer any questions. Thank you for all of your work.
