VOA VOICES: Dr. Kelli Bullard Dunn
Vice Dean for Community Engagement and Diversity at UofL’s School of Medicine and VOA Board Chair
As a surgeon, scientist and educator, Dr. Kelli Bullard Dunn immediately recognized the impact of the work does to improve the health and well-being of the community. After joining the board of directors eight years ago, her personal investment in our mission and the desire to see VOA and its programs grow and expand continues to strengthen, and she now serves as one of our strongest advocates and leaders in the role of board chair.
In her capacity as vice dean and professor, she has worked to partner UofL’s School of Medicine with VOA to allow students to train and complete medical rotations in programs like Freedom House and Unity House.
“My kids can always tell when I come home from a VOA event because I’m in a noticeably good mood. Because I’ve been surrounded by people who are actively working to do good for the community, do it for the right reasons, and do it well.”
