Employment services

VOA Work is dedicated to providing employment support in Kentucky, West Virginia, and Clark and Floyd Counties in Indiana.

We offer support in job seeking / placement, training, continuing education courses, career counseling, mentoring, interview / resume preparation, financial assistance, follow-up, and wraparound services.

Our Service Areas

Recovery Reintegration services are provided in the following Kentucky counties: 

Bell, Clark, Clay, Garrard, Jackson, Knox, Laurel, Leslie, Lincoln, Madison, McCreary, Owsley, Pulaski, Rockcastle, and Whitley. 

Workforce Reintegration services are provided in the following Kentucky counties:

Bell, Breathitt, Clay, Harlan, Jackson, Knox, Laurel, Leslie, Letcher, McCreary, Owsley, Perry, Powell, Whitley, and Wolfe. 

Individuals with disabilities work services are provided in the following Indiana counties:

Clark and Floyd

Veterans in our HVRP program services are provided in the following West Virginia county:

Boone, Cabell, Jackson, Lincoln, Logan, Mason, Mingo, Putnam, Roane, Wayne, Clay, Fayette, Greenbrier, Kanawha, Mercer, McDowell, Nicholas, Raleigh, Summers, and Wyoming.

We thank these generous funders

VOA Work programs are funded by Workforce Opportunity for Rural Communities (WORC), Partnerships for Opportunity and Workforce and Economic Revitalization (POWER), and Inspire.

Recovery Reintegration Program (RRP) is 100% funded with Federal money through a $1,260,234 Department of Labor WORC grant.

RRP Lincoln, Pulaski and Rockcastle Counties are 80% funded through a $465,208 grant from Appalachian Regional Commission’s INSPIRE grant and 20% funded through the Kentucky Chamber Foundation/Kentucky Sports Radio Tornado Relief Fund.

Workforce Reintegration is 80% funded with Federal money though a $2 million Appalachian Regional Commission POWER grant and 20% funded ($500,000) through Kentucky’s G.R.A.N.T. program and local agency dollars

HVRP is 100% funded with Federal money through a $691,632 Department of Labor HVRP grant. 

Supportive Employment is funded through Indiana’s Family and Social Services Administration Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services.
